| Our client is currently looking for a technical Solutions Officer.
The job accountabilities are as follows:
· May lead and complete work packages and/or work packages of moderate
scope, size and
complexity while applying principles of project management. Ensures
appropriate documentation,
change and risk management are in place.
· Use project management software (MS Project) and applicable templates
to prepare
documentation, track and monitor information, and maintain database(s)
if applicable
· Support the analysis and assessment of potential projects and assists
in the development of work
packages, detailed project plans, specifications and schedules
· Ensure accuracy in promptly completing all required documentation
(i.e., reports, change
requests, presentations, invoices, correspondence/communications,
tables, charts, files, etc.).
Monitor data, discovers weaknesses or missing data and s s out
information.
· Responsible for minutes of technical meetings, creating action logs
and following up with
technical staff to ensure completion of action items
· Exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and
all matters of confidentiality
and escalates issues where appropriate
· Conduct implementation and post implementation activities, ensuring
project deliverables are
communicated and users trained, if applicable
· Develop an understanding of the technical/business aspects of the
project in order to effectively
contribute to the project
· Develop and continuously enhance knowledge of business analysis
and project planning techniques
and their impact on business needs
· Make significant effort to improve performance, e.g., does something
more efficiently, at lower cost or
improves quality.
· Prioritize and manage own workload, and possibly the workload of
others, in order to deliver quality
results and meet predetermined timelines
· Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness
and operational
efficiency of the business unit and/or team
· Analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation.
Anticipate obstacles and
thinks ahead.
· Manage relationship with team members and to deal with individuals
at all levels of the organization
· Participate as a member of the team in executing assigned deliverables
within specified parameters
· Keep others in the immediate team and the organization informed
and up-to-date about the
status/progress of projects, and all relevant or useful information
related to day-to-day activities
· Transfer knowledge and provides guidance and leadership as appropriate
to support the business
objectives of the team and related area.
· Support the team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
and business units
· Participate fully as a member of the team and contributes to a positive
work environment
Qualifications/Competencies Accreditation:
· Experienced and fully qualified specialist requiring business and/or
managerial knowledge and the
ability to support the largest and most complex projects.
· Advanced understanding/appreciation of business issues and objectives
and impact of the team's work.
· MUST have MS Project working experience
· Very good written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Knowledge of project management concepts
· Ability to work well independently or with a group
· Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel
· Good knowledge of PowerPoint, Visio, Access
· MUST have MS Project working experience
Specific Educational Requirements:
College / University or equivalent work experience
