Responsibilities

•Assists the AVP Solutions Architecture in defining the Quality Assurance
direction
•Oversees the development and implementation of Quality Assurance practices
within Information
Services
•Promotes quality culture through communication, education, coaching,
mentoring and consultation
•Participates in the reviews, walkthrus, design discussion and other
quality oriented activities,
promoting good quality practices and continuous improvement
•Conducts quality audits looking for evidence that quality processes
are followed and evidence of
adherence to functional and corporate standards.
•Participates in the design, development, and institutionalisation
of standards, guidelines and best
practices
•Works with project teams in the development and implementation of
quality plans
•Works with others to identify and implement recommendations for continuous
improvement
•Provides significant input into the setting of standards, polices,
and procedures for the analysis and
quality assurance process to ensure the consistency, maintainability
and quality of the end product.
•Identifies opportunities for Information Services to ensure high quality
in all deliverables and
continuous improvement in day to day actives.

Requirements

•Minimum eight years progressive experience in Information Services,
five years experience in quality
assurance activities, at least three years in project development using
a development methodology.
•Has demonstrated ability in performing quality audits.
•Demonstrated ability in development and implementation of quality
assurance practices.
•Ability to evaluate the adherence to quality processes.
•Experience in developing standards, polices, and procedures.
•Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
•Ability to work in abstractions as well with incomplete information.
•Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, facilitation and
consensus building.
•The ability to plan and organize effectively.
•A flexible and adaptable team player that is service oriented.

Education

•Minimum - three year college diploma in business/computer related
field or equivalent experience.
