| Our client is currently looking for a Senior Web developer to join
its IT Specialist.
In this role, the Web Application Developer is responsible for planning,
implementing and documenting
leading edge technology that supports Internet-based applications,
communications and commerce within
a Unix/Java environment for both Internal and External clients.
Required Skills:
- General database development expertise (Oracle/SQL, Server/MySQL
etc). Stored
procedure creation, database design and strong general
SQL skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and UNIX (Solaris, Linux etc)
operating systems.
- **VERY STRONG - (3years+) JSP/Servlet development skills/experience
- **Intermediate Core Java Development skills/Object Oriented design
and development
experience (J2EE)
- **Experience with various Webservers(Apache/IIS etc) and Application
servers such
as BEA Weblogic, and Tomcat or others (Working knowledge,
not administrative expertise)
- Perl/CGI development Experience
- Ecommerce Development experience
- Experience with traditional web analytics packages (Webtrends or
others)
- Project Management Skills Ability to lead small/medium projects
- Exper4ience in a client service focused environment
- Portal Experience (Weblogic portal or others)
- ASP/COM Microsoft development experience
- Experience with content management systems (Fatwire/Open Market,
Vignette,
Documentum etc)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills -
Client-service focus
- keen passion for the Internet
- The ability to troubleshoot be flexible and use problem solving skills
- The ability to multi-task, stay organized and pay attention to detail
- Efficient time management skills
Details:
- Strong JSP with strong database experience
- Strong PHP/CGI experience would be good
