| Our client, a marketing solutions company, is currently looking for
a Senior Systems Programmer /Analyst
with the following skillsets:
In collaboration with other team members design, document and develop
new programming features
and make modification to the current system.
Ensure that all code developed is of high quality and tested thoroughly.
Maintain an accurate record of completed work and status of every project
you are assigned.
Develop and test query running time on databases with millions of records.
Provide continuing analysis of the database activity within the system,
discern between critical or
moderate issues, and provide thoughtful analysis on how to improve
the situation.
Constantly improve your coding ability and look to apply those improvements
on code previously
done retroactively.
Properly maintain all of the code in SourceSafe and clean up code snippets
and files on a routine schedule.
Qualifications / Experience:
5+ Years of Web enabled enterprise-level software development and have
played a pivotal role in
developing internet based software as part of a small team.
A post-secondary degree in Mathematics (preferred) or Computer Science.
Experience developing a successful long-term internet software product
(2+ years).
Be proficient in ASP.NET and C#
Be proficient in ASP, SQL Server, COM+, DCOM, Javascript, HTML, VB
6.0, ActiveX dll's.
Have a thorough understanding of how the SQL Server stores data and
apply that knowledge in
developing interaction with the database including, but not limited
to, how indexes, views, user-defined
functions, stored procedures, transact-sql, and database maintenance
procedures work.
You have a solid understanding COM+ and ActiveX in a networked environment.
Have a thorough understanding of permissions and how those permissions
affect the development
and coding of the software.
Must have a solid understanding of how threading works in the Windows
environment and understand
the implications when developing software.
Experience adapting to an existing application structure.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, written
and verbal.
Experience in .NET an asset.
Microsoft certification an asset.
