| Our client is looking for a customer focused network expect to complement
their team:
Responsibilities:
Ø Providing technical support for all aspects of network services
and PC's and Servers
Ø Performing preventative maintenance tasks; Troubleshooting and minor
repairs to computer equipment
Ø Acting as a liaison between the IT Infrastructure department and
users
by dealing with user questions, advising on new applications
and providing
installation assistance
Ø Providing help desk support
Ø Providing quality customer service to users
Ø Participating in various technology projects
Ø Moderate on-call work during evenings and w ends
Requirements:
The position requires a minimum of four years experience in an NT/2000
environment
plus extensive knowledge of the following:
Ø Windows 2000 and 2003 Server and Windows 2000 Professional
and XP Professional
Ø Active Directory (MSI Software Distributions and GOP management)
Ø TCP/IP
Ø SQL 7/2000
Ø MS Exchange 5.5/2002/2003
Ø Citrix Metaframe
Ø Firewalls
Ø Veritas Backup Exec 9.0
The position also requires working knowledge of the following products/technologies:
Ø Anti-Virus and Virus walls, ISA (Proxy)
Ø SUS Server
Ø BPN Technology
Ø Terminal Services
Ø EMC SAN
Ø Telephony
Familiarity with the following products and technologies is also an
asset:
Ø Business Objects
Ø BizTalk
Ø Altiris Client Recovery Solution
Ø Log Analysis and Intrusion Detection
Ø Unix
Ø Oracle
The candidate will also have:
Ø Completed the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer designation
(Minimum 4 years experience in an NT/Windows environment)
Ø Strong customer service skills and teamwork orientation coupled with
enthusiasm, energy, and self-motivation
Ø Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ø Experience with IIS on 2000/2003 Server
Ø Life Reinsurance knowledge is an asset
Ø A keen interest in maximizing technology utilization
