| We are searching for a Senior Microsoft systems engineer to support
our
current NT and Windows 2000 environment which hosts our
Web Application and E-mail environment. This position will be primarily
production support and will involve some project work.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
-Provide 3rd Level support for Windows NT/2000 Server Systems
-Administration and maintenance of our LAN environment
-Migrate NT File and Print servers coming off of lease to new hardware
-Provide Production support for our Windows NT/2000 systems and
applications.
-Patching and Hardening of Microsoft Windows systems.
-Participation in and possible management of projects depending on
the skill of the individual.
SKILLS REQUIRED
-Microsoft Windows NT server, Windows 2000/2003 server
-Experience with IBM Websphere, Lotus Notes/Domino, Microsoft IIS
or any other client/server or web-based midrange application systems
-Experience supporting MS SQL or IBM UDB Database servers is an asset
-Experience with HP/Compaq Proliant Server hardware
-Experience with Security products such as firewalls, proxy servers,
and
content filters is an asset
-Understanding of Change Management practices
-Managed and participated in projects including project tracking,
-Demonstrated ability to document systems and train end-users
-Detailed understanding of a Local Area Network system including the
Network Operating Systems, Networking and Server hardware
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-5+ years of systems management in a corporate environment.
-Familiar with enterprise level environments with over 1000 clients
and multiple servers
EDUCATION REQUIRED
-University or College degree in a technical area preferred
-A completed Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designation
would be an asset, but is not required
