Technical Environment

The systems environment is one that is readily found in the financial
industry. It
consists of a combination of Web-based technologies, MVS, and Client
Server.
There is an extensive mid-range IBM server environment running AIX.
These
mid-range machines support various corporate systems such as Web
applications based upon J2EE, Websphere, Oracle and MQ-Series, Data

Warehousing, and internally developed Lotus Notes applications.

Network: The Intel environment consists of Novell based file, print,
directory
and DNS servers and Microsoft (NT, 2000) application servers. These
systems
are all connected via a secure national backbone network based upon
Cisco
products.

Mainframe: The mainframe environment consists of MVS, CICS, COBOL,
and
MQ-Series, running corporate Insurance applications.
