Apply your extensive knowledge of multi-tier, service oriented systems
to define
and implement inspired component based solutions and resolve business

problems in this interesting leading technical role. Your quest will
take you on
investigative journey of defining business requirements and analyzing
the
impact of proposed changes on all systems and business areas, with
an eye to
ensuring conformity with existing enterprise architecture. You'll estimate
the
internal development effort, quantifying the time and resources required
and
evaluate the potential of commercially available systems to satisfy
the business
need. Once you've honed in on an appropriate strategy and solution,
you'll lead
the implementation of your creation, providing leadership and guidance
to a
talented technical development design team and taking ownership of
results.
As an innovator, you'll continue to identify opportunities for Application
Services
to deliver high quality solutions and ensure continuous improvement
in
application development--mentoring the development staff in your sphere
of
influence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-4 yrs' experience as Application Architect, 2 of them architecting
J2EE
solutions
-Experience with complete lifecycle development/component-based solutions

using OOA and OOD
-Sound knowledge and experience using Rational Unified Process and
UML
-Sound knowledge and experience in developments using Websphere
-Good understanding of database systems--preferably Oracle
-Solid Project Management experience
-Sun certification as Java Solutions Developer/Architect preferred
