Position Summary:
The Senior Technical Analyst, GroupWare Administration is responsible
for the maintenance, design and
support of all the client's NA GroupWare products, like Notes Domino
and WebSphere. The scope of
responsibility includes installations and upgrades, both centrally
and distributed. The incumbent will
also ensure the monitoring of messaging traffic and enforce the corporate
messaging policies.
He/she will also provide mentoring to less senior members of the GroupWare
Administration group.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provides support for all GroupWare product installations in LNA
-Provides proactive improvements and technical upgrades of these products
-Leads projects and co-ordinates with teams from other groups
-Includes mail gateways to the Internet, Blackberryˇ¦s and other PDA
devices
-Ensures Notes traffic across the WAN is optimized for both e-mail
and database replication
-Implements monitoring of Notes, using automated tools to generate
alerts
-Provides after-hours support as needed, including a rotating 24x7
on-call support
-Travel requirement: ~ 30% "X

Results/Accountabilities:
-Systems uptime is 99.5%
-Systems documentation is available and up to date
-Published monthly statistics regarding database usage, replication
patterns, e-mail traffic, attachments, etc.
-Deadlines and budgets for implementation projects are respected
-Is the point of escalation for all Notes issues

Relationships with Others Jobs:
-Works in conjunction with all infrastructure groups
-Heavy interaction with Servers and Directory Services and the Enterprise
Infrastructure groups


Qualification Profile:

Education and Work Experience:
-Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field
-Minimum 5 years of experience implementing complex Notes Domino and
WebSphere systems
-Experience with Domino systems in a Microsoft Windows Server Cluster
environment
-6 plus years of experience in supporting Notes Domino and WebSphere
environments


Knowledge and Skills:
-Excellent practical knowledge of Notes Domino R5, WebSphere Application
Server 5.x and
WebSphere Portal 5.x
-Ability to lead people and projects, results-oriented
-Effective communicator (written/verbal)
-Fact finder, analytical, and excellent problem solver
-Self-driven, self-motivated, customer service oriented and an effective
team player
