Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead complex software design tasks and drive architectural direction ensuring maintainability and extensibility.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation
• Analyze, evaluate and leverage emerging software trends, standards and technologies.
• Promote technical communication across the company
• Mentor software developers
• Improve software development practices
• Work with local and geographically distributed development teams.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in commercial software development.
• Has thorough knowledge of object oriented design, design patterns and UML.
• Excellent leadership skills, is consensus building, adaptable and influential.
• Excellent knowledge of the languages Java and C# necessary.
• Thorough knowledge in a wide variety of technologies, such as multi-tier software development, enterprise solutions, Web Services, SOA, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of: geospatial applications and technologies (GIS) beneficial.
