We’re working with an organization that was named one of the Top 50 Managed Companies in Canada and was ranked in the top 60 of Profit’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies. A customer focused company, they help businesses and organizations select, acquire and manage their software and hardware technology resources.
They are looking for a SharePoint Subject Matter Expert to join their team on an initial 6 month contract (may go FT in 2006) to lead them through Phase 1 of their enterprise wide SharePoint rollout. The requirements gathering have been completed and your initial deliverable is to work with the three prioritized departments to develop/test/rollout their portals within the first 3 months. Following the successful implementation for these groups you will start on the rest of the organization portals (10).
As the SharePoint SME you will be looked upon as the “go to person” for any SharePoint issues. Through your prior experience you have learned and developed a best practices portfolio that you will draw on as you lead the configuration and implementation efforts. You have proven to be a manager of change and you have the ability to keep users motivated and on track to assist you in delivering a fine tuned and functional SharePoint environment.
Based on the success of the pilot project the Executive team is 100% committed to SharePoint and see it as a valuable tool which will enable their teams to improve their productivity. As such, this is an outstanding opportunity for you to put your solid SharePoint and business analysis skills to work in a high profile program. Keys to your success are your technical skills, communication and relationship building skills and your ability to maintain focus in a fast paced deadline driven environment. If you go fulltime after 6 months you will be involved with long term maintenance and development of projects which leverage the SharePoint infrastructure. |
