The Transaction Systems team
s s a lead developer who
will be responsible
for the development and ongoing support
of
applications used by the Client Administration
group. These
applications support the
following business functions;
investment
accounting, trade confirmations, trade
reconciliation and sponsored products.
The
successful candidate will lead a small team of
both
employees and consultants, managing their
time and
development activities. Development
responsibilities include
requirement analysis,
technical design, development, testing,
and
ongoing support. The lead developer will work
directly
with the business analysts in Client
Administration to analyze
functional
requirements and provide development estimates
for the project plan. In addition the lead
developer will
coordinate projects with
centralized infrastructure resources
and data
vendors.
- At least 5 years experience as a
lead developer including
experience managing a
team`s effort and coordinating these
efforts
with business analysts
- At least 5 years of
development with PL/SQL
- At least 3 years of
programming experience using 3GLs
(Java, C++,
C, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Oracle 8i / 9i experience
- Experience
with software development methodologies,
coding standards and production controls
-
Production system support experience in an IT
environment
- Vendor management experience
- Strong Unix development experience including
utilities such
as Perl, Korn Shell, Awk
-
Experience developing or supporting Client
Administration
applications, specifically
investment accounting and
settlements would be
considered a strong plus
- Fund Accounting and
sponsored products experience would
be
considered a strong plus
- Object oriented
design skills would be considered a plus

Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science or
equivalent
