hi..

is there an open source/ free requiremetns managment system which
allows end users to upload documents, and begin workflow managment of
approving and versioning them?

one that doesn't needs a steep learning curve..

i've heard about something is integrated into outlook , i don't know
about it, probably not free.

As usual with open source, there is a bewildering choice. See
enterprise workflow at http://www.resolvtech.com/products/...se_workflow.htm
or Nuxeo at http://www.nuxeo.com/en. There are others but these look
big enough. My money would be on Nuxeo. I looked at Nuxeo as a
possible alternative to the proprietary software OpenImage from
OpenText.

Can't help you there.

It wouldn't matter if it claimed to be free. It can't be properly free
if it only runs within a proprietary system. Perhaps by "free" you
mean "currently released free of charge".

tml
which fits the description right on.
or this:

yes, this seems like the kind of system I have in mind. I have been
working on one in use at a bank. The documentation concerns the back
office checks made about a trade. The documentation has to go through
several levels of approval before the trade can be executed.

Looks like the ones you mentioned are platform-specific and non-free.
So I wonder why you said you are looking for open source. Can you
explain please?
