| I am a Ph.D. Scholar at the Maulana Azad National Institute
of Technology, Bhopal, India. I am researching on Object-Oriented
Design Quality. Specifically of my research is to determine metrics
for Design Quality.
So far I have collected many papers related to
Object-Oriented Metrics. and one Bansiya's paper on Object-Oriented
Design Quality assessment. Further I want to relate design factors
with design metrics.
I would be very interested to obtain further data on Metrics for
Object-Oriented Design in order to further advance my research.
I want to rank the following metrics in terms of design factors:
Functionality, Effectiveness, Understandability, Reusability,
Maintainability.
Mertics:
Number of Classes (NOC)
Number of Hierarchies (NOH)
Cohesion Among Methods of Class (CAM)
Number of Polymorphic Methods (NOP)
Class Interface Size (CIS)
Number of Ancestors (NOA)
Number of Generalization Hierarchies (NGH)
Maximum Depth of Inheritance (MDIT)
Data Access Ratio(DAR)
Number of aggregation relationships (NAR)
Number of aggregation hierarchies (NAH)
Functional Abstraction (FA)
Direct Class Coupling (DCC)
Number of Methods (NOM)
Extent of Documentation (EOD)
So award marks between 0-10 to each metrics in terms of the design
factor mentioned above.
Any help and cooperation would be highly appreciable.
