| The Software Engineering Group of the Leibniz University of Hanover
currently conducts a study dealing with Quality Gates and related
concepts. The study is conducted among companies developing software at
least to some extent, but research activities are as well of interest.
Different questions arose regarding the term "Quality Gate", which
should be resolved by means of an empirical study. To answer these
questions a survey just started. Especially the following questions are
of interest:
- Which are synonyms for the term Quality Gate?
- How can Quality Gates be characterized?
- Are there any shortcomings when conducting Quality Gates?
Even if the term Quality Gate is not used in your company there is a
high possibility, that a similar concept might be utilized. To answer
these questions we would be very pleased if you could participate in a
survey. Ideally you are member of the project or quality management,
but you can also participate, if your research activities is focused on
this topic. After the study is completed we let you know of the research
results. Of course any data provided by a participant will be treated
confidentially and is published anonymously.
Below you will find two questionnaires. Questionnaire A deals with
Quality Gates, while Questionnaire B deals with alternative concepts, in
case the term Quality Gate is not used in your company. It is only
necessary to fill out the questionnaire which applies to your company.
After filling out the questionnaire you can send it back by post, fax or
preferred by e-mail. You will find the contact data below.
