Term for "Data Structure Identification"

I'm trying to find information related to automatically determining
(or guessing) data structure types from type information and/or
structure analysis at runtime. I know I've seen this type of thing in
the reverse engineering literature, but I can't seem to find it now.
Is there a common term for this process that I should be searching
for (an author name or two would also give me a good start)?
