I must share my frustration with Lucas... I searched for days, I
would like to say ws but I would be exaggerating... and found a few.
A general resource/list of requirements management tools with features
I found was

http://www.paper-review.com/tools/rms/read.php

However having gone through the list of tool I was very disappointed
- most are out of my price range, are functionaly limited (web based
etc) or dont meet my needs.

If you search on sourceforge today there is a new one called OSRMT
which appears promising but I'm not sure if the features I need will
arrive in the timeline I need.

Anyone else have any luck - I just can't face using Excel, Access or
ugh Word again...fine for use cases but not managing/reporting
traceability from features to requirements etc.

Hi,

You can look at <http://www.objectiver.com>, It is not free, nor
opensource but if you ask for an opensource or academic project, they
said -during a talk- they would give you a copy...

Try to contact them...

You could try Analyst Pro software at http://www.analysttool.com The
pricing seems to be reassonable. It is very simple and powerful tool.
