Entertainment Technology

Responsibilities:
This candidate will lead a small team to produce derivative Embedded
Software Development Kit releases, and maintain those releases once in the
field. This position requires both management and technical responsibility,
with a portion of the job involving hands on software development and/or
debug. Having a strong command of the software architecture and the
devices/peripherals to which it interfaces will be required. In addition to
having personal software development responsibility, this individual will
review work executed by members of the team, as well support them in the
execution of their tasks.
Requirements/Qualifications:
a.. MSEE/CS or equivalent preferred.
b.. A minimum of 10 years related embedded software system development
experience for semiconductor SDK's aimed at digital or portable
entertainment technology (e.g. MP3, PDAs, SmartPhone/PCs)
c.. Adept at interfacing software with peripherals
d.. Experience with high speed SoC and USB chips is preferrable.
e.. Strong organizational and scheduling skills
f.. Experience with defining, estimating, producing, and maintaining
large software projects
g.. Experience leading a team of firmware developers
h.. Strong firmware (C and assembler) development skills, including
recent hands on development experience
i.. Strong documentation & communication skills (the ability to document
technical work).
j.. Experience with test tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.).
k.. Experience with configuration management tools (ClearCase, CVS,
etc.)
a.. Considered a plus:
a.. Knowledge of audio systems
b.. Knowledge of various mass storage media (hard drives, flash, etc.)
c.. Knowledge of USB
d.. Knowledge of SCSI
