Does anyone know if Brew or J2ME programming API support direct phone
to phone communication through bluetooth, infared, wifi, etc.....

if so please let me know...

I am also interested in starting cell phone programming. I got some
good (thick) books off Ebay on J2ME and I have downloaded the SDK, now
I just need to find the time.

One question right off, once a program is written and tested, how do
you get it into the phone?
