thesis topic on webservices

| Hey all,
I am doin my Master's, and thinking of doing thesis on webservices. I am kind of new to this area ( web services). I got to know that most of you are experienced s/w engineers. can anyone suggest some un-explored topics or explored-n-needs further research topics, any tools like testing tool etc... on webservices. I would greatly appreciate your help! have a good time!.

I've started working with web services and while my knowledge is limited, it seems that security is a major factor.
I am personally interested in the best ways for securing exposed web service methods without having to rely on third party authorisation tools (eg. MS Passport). | |
