| I need to do a literature survey and annotated bibliography for my software
engineering course but I cant think of a damn research topic. they say pick
something that interests you so i thought i'd like to do something related
to the computer games industry. Can anybody suggest a research topic related
to this? has anybody here done anything like this? anything you guys can
come up with is much appreciated. Thanks.

| David
I find it interesting the rather dramatic evolution of the computer games
industry. Not all that long ago games used to be produced in one man shops.
Now, it takes a cast of thousands to compete. One needs not only
programmers, but writers, animators, artists, musicians, and on and on and
on.
It might be interesting to understand the drivers that led to this
evolution.

Survey how poorly game developers do when they try to adopt eXtreme
Programming or other Agile Methodologies.

| thanks for your ideas guys. I think the evolution of the industry would be
interesting as it has really grown a lot in a short space of time.
About the methodologies too, I hadn't given much thought as too what methods
game programmers may apply.
thanks again
