Calculations in ACT! Are Made Easy

Calculations have been the missing link in ACT! for years. However a small a
dd-on from ActPresentation promises to solve this problem elegantly once and
 for all!

ActPresentation today announces Abacus Calculated Fields for ACT! 10, the la
test version of the add-on for ACT! by Sage CRM software. The new version su
pports ACT! 2008, as well as ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006 and ACT! 2007.

Abacus Calculated Fields lets users make any calculation using ACT! database
fields. All you need to do is select a field on the layout using the contex
t menu and write a calculation formula. Calculated fields will be always up-
to-date because calculations are re-run automatically every time when you mo
dify the value of one of the fields that's part of formula.

The program is able to copy fields, manipulate data and produce the results
based on the data within other fields - all this is possible from a friendly
interface. You can easily calculate the value of any ACT field from the val
ues in other fields, constants, functions and statements.

There is a choice of over 80 functions: mathematical, string, datetime, fina
ncial, etc. Using these functions, you can make calculations in Contact, Gro
up or Company fields and perform mortgage/loan calculations. Calculations ca
n be done either manually or automatically. Along with simple calculations,
you can build complex conditional ones using "IF" and "CASE" statements. It'
s possible to assign formula to a field to get a field calculated automatica
lly.

Another nice touch in the add-on is automatic data entry. It'll help you to
fill in up to 100 fields in one operation, rather than enter the same data o
ver and over again.

Once installed, the ACT! add-on starts to work right out of the box.
