An example file will allow you to have a pretty much trashed record
header. If the example file can't fix it  then it really must be
trashed. Can you create a new file in the DCT then use it as an
example. Using another known good file mostly  works but before you
give up making a new example from the proper DCT is safer.

I find most errors on TPS files come from accessing them across a
network. They tend to trash the keys and often the header gets a
glitch. other than that I can't say I've ever lost a TPS file before
and that includes a client that had a terrible set of hardware
problems with the network.
